I hope your year has been as wonderful as mine. I’ve worked on this mix for about 2 months. It’s full of wordplay and clever transitions! Its a mix you’ll need to listen to multiple time to catch everything!
One example is at 3:30 in, where Lisa says “Can You Feel The Beat?” and goes directly into the hook of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. Enjoy the mix!

The Country Riding Mix
Here’s a different kind of mix I put together on my way to Puerto Rico. This mix is a standard Country mix, using “quick hit” versions that I made myself. The hard thing with mixing country, is knowing if the song has a bridge before the chorus. I hope you enjoy it.

Meeting: 7:30 AM (Prejudging: 9:00 AM)
The athletes meeting will begin at 7:30am at Pedro Menendez High School . Athletes not attending this meeting will not be allowed to compete. Music will be taken up and competitor numbers assigned immediately following the athletes meeting. Prejudging will begin at 9am.
Meeting: 5:00 PM (Showtime: 6:00 PM)
The evening show will begin promptly at 6pm – not 6:10, 6:15 or 6:30 – 6pm. Athletes must report back to the auditorium no later than 5pm for the athletes meeting – athletes not attending will not be allowed to compete in the evening show and will lose their placings.
Weigh Ins
Late entries will be accepted at the Friday weigh-in / check-in only and entries fees will be paid in cash only. Late entries will not be accepted the day of the show and there will be no weigh-in or check in the day of the show – no exceptions.

Scratch Session – DJ Johnny Oz, DJ Hiztory and DJ Nelson (Tampa, FL)
This weekend I had the opportunity to watch DJ Numark perform an all 45’s set during Ol Dirty Sunday’s at Crowbar in Tampa, Florida. Before we went out for the night, DJ Johnny Oz (@DJ_Johnny.Oz), DJ Hiztory, and myself (@DJ.Nelson.Music) were able to get a scratch session in. Here’s just a little preview of what happened that night. Nothing was planned – everything in this video is freestyle scratching. Also, shout out to DJ Fugi (@EvilFugi) for coming through later in the evening and throwing down. It’s always a good time in Tampa!

New Mashups – Oasis, Rihanna, Benny Blanco, and Kash Doll?!
I’m starting to use Audiomack to host my edits for quick and easy playing – but here’s what I was on tonight. I found a solid acapella of this Rihanna track and gave it a totally different feeling. Its exactly what you’ve been missing.
On my second edit, I found the instrumental for “Eastside” so I put in the classic acapella of “Wonderwall” in the mix, just to give you the right feel of nostalgia. I hope you enjoy these tracks just as much as I enjoyed making them.
